Our Story
North Port Youth Basketball was founded in 2006 with a simple but powerful mission: to create a premier basketball league that brings the children of North Port together through the game we love.
From the start, NPYB has stood for something bigger than the scoreboard. We’re here to teach the game the right way—with integrity, effort, and heart. On our courts, players grow as athletes, teammates, leaders, and confident young people.
Our league is powered by passionate volunteers, guided by experienced leadership, and supported by a city that believes in what we’re building. We work hard to ensure every child feels welcome, supported, and ready to take their next step both on and off the court.
We emphasize sportsmanship, skill-building, and community to create a league where players, coaches, and parents all work together to build something special.
